Former Glendale Men's  Basketball Coach Brian Beauchemin honored with gym floor dedication

GLENDALE - Family, friends and alumni gathered at Glendale Community College last Saturday for the dedication of Brian Beauchemin Floor in the Verdugo Gym. Coach Beauchemin coached men's basketball at GCC for 35 years, amassed 592 career wins and is considered one of the most successful coaches in the history of California Community Colleges.

The milestone ceremony is part of the GCC Athletics Capital Campaign that was launched in 2021 with the intention of raising funds to create an endowment to support the needs of GCC teams and the student-athletes that make up the 16 teams that compete at Glendale College. The campaign has raised approximately $500,000 thus far and future plans include naming the athletic stadium for former Head Football Coach and Athletic Director John Cicuto and recognizing major donor and alumni Patty Mack.
