Tinoco's bat, Lange's no-no propel pair to Player, Pitcher of the Week selections
LOS ANGELES, Calif – Aaliyah Tinoco of Yuba College and Kaelyn Lange of College of the Siskiyous earn California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Player and Pitcher of the Week honors on Monday, April 7.
Tinoco was a force at the plate as the Niners extended their winning streak to 12 with four wins last week. She went 8-for-11 at the dish, drawing three walks, driving in 10 runs and mashing two homers. She reached base at a .785 clip.
One of Tinoco’s homers, coming in the sixth inning of a 3-1 win over No. 16 Fresno City, added a much needed insurance run in a two-run game. Tinoco is the second Niner to earn 3CFCA weekly honors – Danni Farris was named Pitcher of the Week on March 17.
Lange spun a no-hitter for the Eagles in a 10-2 five-inning victory over Butte on Saturday, April 5. Lange earned two wins in the circle and a save en route to a 5-1 week for Siskiyous. Lange tossed 12.2 innings on the week.
Lange’s no-no marks the fifth perfect game or no-hit bid amongst CCCAA pitchers in the 2025 season.
