Angulo, Farris dominate en route to weekly honors
LOS ANGELES, Calif – Serenity Angulo of Bakersfield College and Danni Farris of Yuba College take home this week’s California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Player and Pitcher of the Week honors after near-perfect weeks on the diamond.
Angulo, named 3CFCA Player of the Week March 17, went 6-for-6 at the plate, five of which for extra bases, and three of those left the yard. Angulo drove in nine runs across two games, including seven in a 16-3 win over LA Valley.
Farris tossed a no-hitter to beat the College of Sequoias on March 11. Farris and the Niners, who were jumped by the Giants in last week’s 3CFCA Coaches’ Poll, allowed just one base runner via a walk in the 1-0 victory. Farris struck out nine in the no-hit performance. Farris becomes the fourth no-hit or perfect game bid of the 2025 season. She is the first to take it through all seven.
