Cerritos emerges on top in week two poll
LOS ANGELES, Calif – Cerritos College takes the top spot in week two of the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Top-20 Rankings after a 6-0 start to the 2025 season.
The Falcons knocked off the defending No. 1 in Fullerton College, who dropped to 13 this week, 3-2 on Saturday, February 1. The game went nine innings with Mia Star Miramontes tossing three perfect innings of relief to notch the win.
No. 2 San Joaquin Delta keeps its top spot in the north after a commanding 17-0 win over Reedley in seven innings. The Mustangs’ starting pitcher, Ariel Nava threw five perfect innings with eight strikeouts en route to 3CFCA Pitcher of the Week honors.
No. 10 Sacramento City made a noticeable jump from 16 a week ago. The Panthers swept a double header with Lassen January 30, bringing them to a 4-0 start on the season.
