Moore, Reynolds Earn 3CFCA Player, Pitcher of the Week Honors
LOS ANGELES — First-year first baseman Veronica Moore of Fullerton College and sophomore pitcher Kaitlyn Reynolds of Cypress College have earned the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) Player and Pitcher of the Week honors for week six.
Moore, a steady presence at first base for the Hornets, has yet to commit an error all season. At the plate, Moore led all nominees in runs batted in with seven, slashing .583 (7-12) and driving in runs during each of Fullerton's contests. She finished with seven hits, two doubles, and three runs. This marks Moore's first career 3CFCA Player of the Week recognition.
Reynolds earns Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time this season after tossing a perfect game against Antelope Valley on top of pitching in all five of Cypress' wins last week. The sophomore was the pitcher of record in all five contests, including two more complete games, only one run allowed in over 25 innings, and 18 strikeouts.
