The San Jose City Lady Jaguars topped #1 ranked team College of San Mateo Bulldogs 3-0 in solid defensive game by both teams.
The game was scoreless for five innings until the bottom of the sixth when the Lady Jaguars scored three runs.
Celeste Contreras(SJCC) lead off the sixth with hit back at CSM pitcher (Jones), Maddie Carlson(SJCC) bunted to get on and with runners at first and third Tatiana Venegas came to the plate. On a first and third play, Carlson stole second on the pitch as CSM catcher threw a wild ball passed the third baseman, allowing Contreras to score and Carlson to advance to third base. After Venegas grounded out, Adriana Ibarra came to the plate and hit a double to left centerfield scoring Carlson. Jordan Martinez entered the game as a pinch runner for Ibarra, scoring on a base hit by pitcher Gaby Nowack.
In the top of the seventh, Nowack ended the game by taking care of the side to get her 10th win of the season.
