SAN MATEO – Lacie Crawford gained her tenth win with a one-hit shutout as No. 1 College of San Mateo rolled to its 29th straight softball victory, 14-0, over visiting Gavilan College Tuesday afternoon. Although playing without the state’s top hitter and leading pitcher, the Bulldogs struck quickly for ten runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Although playing without the state's top hitter and leading pitcher, the Bulldogs struck quickly for ten runs in the bottom of the first inning. State home run and RBI leader Harlee Donovan had a single and a double for three RBIs in the frame, after which Coach Nicole Borg rested her slugger for the rest of the game. Donovan has a state pacesetting 56 RBIs and 15 homers.
Leilani Akai also had three RBIs in the inning, including a home run and a single. She had hits in each of at bat on the day. The game's other hitting star was Christy Peterson, with two doubles and a triple for three RBIs, scoring twice,
