Bio

Carter Magee joined the 3C2A in July 2026 and serves as the General Manager in partnership with Playfly Sports. He is responsible for developing strategic relationships with corporate partners and driving incremental sponsorship revenue to support the 3C2A membership. 

Prior to the 3C2A, Magee served as the Associate Director of Athletics Development at Stanford University. During this time, he held a key frontline fundraising role in three consecutive record-breaking fundraising years, contributing to Stanford Athletics' $1 billion campaign. He personally secured multiple six- and seven-figure philanthropic commitments while leading strategic revenue generation and external engagement initiatives for several Olympic sports, including men's and women's soccer, and fencing. 

Before Stanford, Magee held revenue generation and development roles at Long Beach State University, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Cypress College, Long Beach Current, and California State University, East Bay. Magee has spent the better part of the last decade driving revenue growth and cultivating strategic partnerships across the sports, media, and intercollegiate athletics industry. 

A native of Belfast, Northern Ireland, Magee is a former junior college student-athlete who captained the men's soccer program at Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colorado, before transferring to California State University, East Bay to complete a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. He also holds a master's degree in Sport Management from Long Beach State University. 

Magee resides in Mountain View with his wife and son.
