Riverside City's Ta'amilo leads the state in all three throwing events
RIVERSIDE - Riverside City College's Edward Ta'amilo is not only the best thrower in the 3C2A, but he also holds his own amongst the best collegiate throwers (NCAA Division I to NAIA).
Ta'amilo currently leads the State in all three throwing events: discus (185'10"), hammer (189'2") and shot put (53'7"). Amongst all NCAA (Division I through III) throwers, Ta'amilo's best mark ranks in the top 20 in the discus.
The sophomore has shown vast improvements since his freshman year, including an 11-foot improvement in the discus, two feet in the shot put, and an almost 20-foot increase in distance in his hammer throw.
Ta'amilo has already secured his spot in both the SoCal Championship and 3C2A Championship meets and looks to keep improving as the Tigers head into the postseason in April.
