Women’s Soccer Season Ends at Cypress

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College's 2021 season came to an end Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 loss to No. 3 Cypress in the opening round of the California Community College Women's Soccer Southern California Regionals.

The Warriors season ends with an overall record of 9-9-3, their best season since 2017 when they finished 11-9-1 and second in the South Coast Conference, South Division. This year, the Warriors earned their first postseason berth and win since 2010 after winning the South Coast Conference, South Division.

On Saturday, the Warriors were blanked as the Chargers outshot the Warriors 21-2 for the match with a 9-1 edge of shots on target.

Freshman McKenna Morey made seven saves for the Warriors but could not hold off the onslaught of the Chargers' offense as the No. 3 seed scored a goal late in each half to advance to the next round.

Meila Bissoondial and Oliva Farias each tallied a shot on goal with Farias recording the only shot on target.
