On Wednesday, FC played a doubleheader at Golden West and won both enforcing the mercy-rule 11-0 and 11-0 in five innings.

GAME ONE

The Hornets did not pull any punches scoring two runs in the first inning, 5 runs in the second, and seven in the fourth. Natalie Gonzalez was strong at the plate going 3-3 with 3 runs and 3 RBI. Casey Dufrene was also stellar going 3-3 with 2 runs and 4 RBI. Jessica Lopez (8-0) locked down her eighth win on the season going 4.2 innings with 2 hits against, 1 earned run, 1 walk, and 7 K's.

GAME TWO

Fullerton came out a bit sluggish for game two, and Golden West took advantage grabbing a 2-0 lead by the third inning. The Hornets did not score their first run until the fourth inning when Madison Pevehouse came off the bench hitting a SAC Fly to left field scoring Emily Muro from third.

FC tied the game up 2-2 in the sixth on pinch hitter Skye Samano's clutch single to center field that brought Madison Ferguson home.

In the bottom of the eighth, Fullerton won the game when Pevehouse knocked another high-flyer to left field for a SAC Fly allowing Maya Osegura to cross home plate.

Jessica Lopez got the start tossing 3 innings with 4 hits against, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, and 4 strikeouts. Celeste Paniagua (3-1) came in relief going 5 innings to earn the win with no runs, 3 hits, no walks and 2 strikeouts.
