Late Equalizer Earns Vaqueros 2-2 Draw at Antelope Valley

ANTELOPE VALLEY, CA – Facing Antelope Valley on Tuesday, the SBCC men's soccer got a late equalizer from Bart Muns to earn its third tie in four games, 2-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Vaqueros (2-1-4) opened the scoring in the sixth minute. Freshman midfielder Timo Jansen found the back of the net for the first time this season on an assist by Sophomore forward Lukas Lovgren.

Antelope Valley (3-2-3) tied the game not long after on a goal by Tyler Orantes. Neither side would score again until the 88th minute, when Orantes put the home side ahead with his second goal of the day.

While the Vaqueros' three previous draws this season saw them concede a second half equalizer, this time they were the ones to tie it late. Freshman forward Brandon Garcia De La Fuente notched his first assist of the year on Muns' 90th minute strike. It was Muns fourth goal in two games.

Santa Barbara finished with a 13-8 edge in shots and had seven shots on goal to AVC's three. Goalkeeper Will Haberfield finished with one save.
