In game one, San Bernardino Valley scored 2 runs in the 1st inning and 1 run in the 2nd inning. AVC held the Wolverines scoreless for the remainder of the game, but struggled to get their offense moving as they totaled just 3 hits in the low-scoring contest. The Wolverines jumped out to an early lead in game two as well, scoring 1 run in the 1st inning and 4 runs in the 2nd inning. AVC held SBVC scoreless from that point on as well, but in game two, the Marauder bats woke up and delivered. Emmeliz Sera got things rolling with a 2-RBI single in the bottom of the 2nd to score Denise Carrillo and Trinity Holman.
A pair of doubles in the 3rd inning from Holman and Savannah Cervantes brought in 3 runs to tie it at 5-5. The Marauders started to open things up in the 4th inning when Hailey Johnson hit her first home run of the season, a 2-RBI blast to left field. Cervantes then hit a solo shot to left field, her fourth of the year. She leads AVC in hits with 48 and in RBI with 42. Trinity Holman made it 9-5 with an RBI single to score Nayely Delgado.
Alanna Hernandez opened up the 5th inning with a home run to left-center, her second this season. Savannah Cervantes then singled to bring home Hailey Johnson, and Amy Manzo singled to bring Cervantes in. Trinity Holman delivered the dagger with another RBI single, and Nayely Delgado ended the game early by scoring an unearned run. Holman finished with 4 RBI, and Cervantes finished with 3 RBI as they both went 3-for-4 on the day. Amy Manzo also went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Alanna Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a run batted in. Hailey Johnson ended with 2 RBI and 2 hits, while Emmeliz Sera had 2 RBI and 1 hit. Sera (2) and Victoria Alcantar combined for 5 strikeouts in the circle.
