GLENDALE — College of the Canyons freshmen Alissa Saridin and Mia Ceja both reached double figures, but the Cougars couldn't keep up in 72-29 conference road loss at No. 7 state ranked Glendale College on Wednesday night.
Canyons (4-20, 0-10) got off to a slow start before making some headway in the second quarter. But by then the Vaqueros (19-3, 9-0) were in firm control. The win was the 13th straight for Glendale.
Saridin finished with 10 points and seven boards while Ceja ended the contest with 11 points and two rebounds.
Glendale saw all 13 players log time with a game-high 14 points coming from Malia Ulery. Janelly Portillo came off the bench with 13 points for the Vaqueros.
COC returns to the Cougar Cage on Saturday, Feb. 8 for a matchup with Citrus College. Tip is scheduled for 3 p.m. with that game being livestreamed to fans free of charge on the Cougars Sports Network.
