The MSJC women's soccer team opened Inland Empire Athletic Conference play on Friday and came away with a 6-0 road win at Victor Valley.

The Eagles got off to a very fast start as they scored a pair of goals in the opening 10 minutes of the match.  Angela Serrano was the first to find the net for MSJC as she scored on an assist from Ester Lucas just 4 minutes into the opening half.  Chloe Baeza then scored with help from Ashley Suarez just five minutes later giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead.  The scoring did slow down as neither team could find a way to score for the rest of the half.

In the second a goal at the 69 minute mark by Corayma Garcia pushed the Eagles ahead 3-0, she was assisted by Riley Marshal.  MSJC then knocked out the Rams with a fury of goals in the late going as they strung together 3 scores in a four minutes span from the 83 to the 87 minute marks.  Suarez found the net first and then Baeza scored for the second time just two minutes later and the final goal of the day came from Ruby Douhan.  Douhan had assisted on the two previous goals while Baeza returned the favor on Douhan's score.

Ameila Romero-Flores and Garcia each had four saves in goal as they recorded the shut out.

MSJC is now 3-4-1 overall on the season and 1-0 in IEAC play, the team returns to the pitch twice this week with home matches against Chaffey on Tuesday and Compton on Friday.  Kick off time for both matches is slated for 4 pm.
