The De Anza Mountain Lions came into Saratoga Wednesday night as possibly the best 7-6 team in the CCCAA. West Valley proved to be up to the challenge, as the Vikings completed a heated 25-18, 25-20, 25-22 sweep to move to 4-0 in the Coast-South.
Taylor Tullo paced the WVC stat sheet with a match-high 16 kills, along with a two blocks, a service ace and a team-high seven digs. Katie Kishton recorded 11 kills and six digs, while Sydney Rogers was nails with a match-high 46 assists and two big third-set kills. Alina Valenti recorded eight kills, a solo block and a pair of aces, and Keilli Voss finsihed with six kills and a solo block. Belen Morgan also had a solo block to go along with four kills in a steady night at the net. Kate Blackwell notched four digs and two aces.
West Valley (11-3, 4-0 Coast-South) travels to Ohlone (11-7, 1-3 Coast-North) for a 6:30pm contest against the Renegades.
