MBB: Eagles Second Half Surge Carries Them to Win at Chaffey

The MSJC men's basketball team overcame a rough shooting first half on the road Saturday at Chaffey, and used a strong second to win 66-61 over the Panthers.

The Eagles trailed 23-18 at the half, but out scored Chaffey 48-38 in the second twenty minutes.  Four Eagles finished the day scoring in double figures as Isaiah Skinner and Danilo Da Silva each had 14.  Skinner also grabbed 8 rebounds and had a game high 5 assists.  Cameron Durr came off the bench to spark the Eagles as he scored all 12 of his points in the second.  Point guard Ethan Bell finished his day with 10 points and 4 assists.  Anton Mozga added 8 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles, Josh Hardiman had 6.

The win improves the Eagles to 11-9 overall on the season, they are 6-3 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference action.

MSJC will play three games this week as they travel to Victor Valley on Monday, before playing at home against College of the Desert on Wednesday.  The Eagles will finish the week with a trip to Barstow on Friday all three games will tip-off at 7 pm.
