The championship banners that hang at Stengel Field celebrate significant past success for the GCC Baseball Team, a tradition of conference titles spanning the past two decades and more. And while the 2022 WSC South season is not quite at the halfway point, the Vaqueros continue to look like the team to beat after a 13-5 win over L.A. Mission Tuesday March 24 ran its overall record to 19-5 to go along with nine straight wins, eight in WSC play.

The Vaqs flexed their offensive muscle Thursday as Bandon Nguyen had four hits, Adrian Gonzales had three hits and four players, Hans Seo, Benji Pallares, Joey Craig and Izzy Madariaga all had two hits each with Criag suppling a double and a triple and Madariaga hitting two home runs. Starting pitcher Julain Jaramillo got the win in his four and two thirds' innings of work, striking out five and relief pitchers Chris Lozano and Joseph Estrada pitched two innings each in relief.

Glendale concludes the series against L.A. Mission Saturday March 26 at 1 pm at Stengel Field.
