HORNETS TAKE DOWN BRAHMAS

The Sting Squad took care of business on the road Monday night with a 74-43 win over L.A. Pierce College.

It was the second consecutive win for Fullerton, who now owns an overall record of 3-6. The loss is the first for the Brahmas with record of 1-1.

Fullerton opened up the first quarter with a 4-0 lead and then pressed it to 10-3 on a layup by Janelle Ramos with a minute left in the quarter.

Maddie Snyder hit a mid-range jumper to begin the second quarter and Shanise Ho hit a big three-pointer to go up 20-12 just a few minutes later. L.A. Pierce crept back in it ripping off 5 straight points to get within three of the Hornets at 20-17. From there, Fullerton took off on a 7-0 run to end the half 27-17.

FC kicked it into turbo-gear in the third quarter going on a 26-3 run that ended with a layup by Maddie Snyder. With 2 minutes left in the quarter, Fullerton owned a healthy 53-20 lead. 

It was all Hornets in the fourth quarter as the team burned second off the clock for its third win on the season. 

Janelle Ramos earned another double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Destiny Goodloe scored 11 points, and Jessica Jones put up 10.

Up Next: The Hornets (3-6 overall) will take on Ventura College this Thursday, December 9th at 1:00 pm when they open up the L.A. Valley College Buddy's All-Star Classic Tournament (Dec. 9-11).
