In a non-conference match, the Hornets took a trip up to Antelope Valley College on Wednesday and came back with a 3-0 win.
Fullerton is now 2-0 on the season after beating AVC in three straight sets. FC took control of the first set early and finished with a 25-18 victory. Set two was a bit closer as the Marauders tried to make an early run, however the Hornets came out on top 25-19. The third and final set belonged to Fullerton as they closed the door 25-17.
Leonardo Mazuco led the Hornets in kills with 9, and Miguel Cortez followed up with 7. David Lucio chipped in with 6 kills. Clell Wade had 5 digs and Hunter Wong-Hin dug up 4. Noah Lorenco had a solid match dishing out 22 assists and had 4 aces.
