No. 2 Rams extend winning streak to 14 with win over Las Positas

SAN FRANCISCO – No. 2 state-ranked City College of San Francisco rolled on to its 14th consecutive victory after beating visiting No. 21 Las Positas College 97-84 on Friday night.

Mezziah Oakman led the Rams with 20 points, Jamir Thomas added 18 points, and EJ Neal chipped in with 17 points.

CCSF held a 45-38 lead at halftime and was able to hold Las Positas (14-8, 4-4 Coast North) over the final 20 minutes.

Earlier in the week, the Rams cruised to a 20-point victory, 94-74, over Foothill College on Wednesday night.

Te'Jon Sawyer nearly had a double-double with team-highs of 15 points and 9 rebounds. Oakman scored 13 points, and CJ Hardy came off the bench to also score 13.

The Rams improved to 20-2 overall and lead the Coast Conference North Division standings at 8-0. CCSF is back in action on Wednesday (Feb. 1) at 7 p.m. when the Rams play at Chabot College.
