Breaking a 5-game losing streak, the Hornets pulled off a huge 86-52 home-win against Barstow College on Friday night.

With four out of the last five losses coming on the road, it has been a slow start for the Hornets so far this season with injuries hampering the team's overall record (2-6). With a few players coming back this past week, the Hornets knabbed a needed win putting Barstow's record at 2-5.

The first quarter was all Hornets as they came out with a hot hand grabbing a 19-5 lead that was capped off by Amanda Vasquez's deep three-point shot. By the end of the quarter, FC was in the driver's seat with a 21-7 advantage.

Fullerton pushed on in the second quarter with a 33-16 in which Janelle Ramos punctuated with a nice layup at 3:21. The Hornets went into their locker rooms at the half with a 37-20 lead. 

FC maintained its lead throughout the second half playing strong defense (12 turnovers/38 total), while taking the largest lead of the game of 37 (69-32) by the start of the fourth quarter. From there, the Hornets cruised earning their second victory on the young season.

Destiny Goodloe had a busy night for Fullerton scoring 22 points, snagged 10 steals, and 10 assists for a triple-double. Janelle Ramos had a game-high 24 points (season best), had 11 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots for a double-double. Amanda Vasquez tossed in 12 points with 4 rebounds, and Shanise Ho scored 11 points with 4 steals.
