VISALIA- Women's Soccer were defeated 3-1 in their first ever meeting with Clovis Community College.
Crush (4-2-5, 2-1 CVC) forward Branisia Sproule put Clovis on the board first when her strike found the back of the net. Jenica Villalvazo and Elizabeth DeLeon added goals of their own to give the Crush a 3-0 lead.
COS (2-6-1, 0-1 CVC) got a goal back when Carolina Saldivar cut the lead to 3-1, but that was all the Lady Giants could do. The Clovis defense held strong behind the goalkeeping play of Kalina Goodarzi.
The Lady Giants will travel to Taft on Tuesday. Both teams are looking to get their third win of the season.
