
Tigers Take On Fifth-Ranked Pirates
Riverside City College battled against No. 5-ranked Orange Coast College Wednesday but ultimately fell 10-8.
The Tigers slip to 9-9 on the year and 1-3 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Pirates improve to 12-6 overall and 3-1 in conference.
RCC struck first after Colby Martin scored on a power play in the first quarter, but OCC held a 5-3 lead at halftime.
The Tigers kept battling and tied things up early in the fourth after Luke Bills rattled in a goal less than a minute into the quarter, but the Pirates held on for the 10-8 victory.
Four different Tigers scored two goals each in the game: Lennon Franklin, Martin, Nathan Ferguson, and Bills.
Defensively, Adrian Thompson finished with nine saves in the cage for the Tigers.
Riverside remains at home to host a two-day tournament this weekend, taking on Merced College first at 9:10 a.m. on Friday.
