Bakersfield College Women's Soccer (4-2-2) beat Glendale College (0-4-2) by a score of 3-1 on the road Friday, but Coach Scott Dameron said it wasn't his team's best effort.
"I hate to say this, but it was a sloppy game," Dameron said, "we just have to work on our decision making."
Arielle Joven opened scoring for BC on a free kick 25 minutes into the game, and she followed that up with another goal after Celeste Martinez retrieved a loose ball and and set Joven up for a sweet 20 yarder to make it 2-0.
Odalys Espinoza scored BC's third goal on a penalty kick, giving her five over the last three games.
"We need to play a lot more consistent if we want to be in the type of position our talent could take us to in the latter stage of this season. And it wasn't one particular player, we just lacked rhythm," Dameron said.
