Sierra College Women's Volleyball Wraps Up Week with 1-1 Record

Sierra College Women's Volleyball finished the week with a 1-1 record. With a strong showing in their match against Consumnes River College, sweeping them with a standout performance from Jordyn Deter, who provided 3 kills, 3 aces, and 32 assists. She facilitated a balanced offensive effort with contributions from Taylor Stolz (14 kills), Paige Skinner (11 kills), and Ally Stumbo (5 kills). 

The second match was against the No. 2 state-ranked Delta College The Wolverines started strong with a 19-11 lead in the first set against the talented Delta College Mustangs, but the Mustangs came back to take the set 25-22. The second set was a closely contested battle, with Sierra narrowly losing 24-26. However, Sierra rallied to win the third and fourth sets, fueled by Taylor Stolz's match-high 28 kills, setting up a decisive 5th set. Delta College finished strong taking the 5th set and the match. The team will now prepare for their upcoming Big 8 match against Folsom College on October 2 at 6:00 PM.
