Citrus College got its bats hot and powered through to an 8-0 victory over Golden West College Monday afternoon on the road.
The Owls improve to 12-12 on the year, while the Rustlers drop to 9-10 overall.
Leah Morales was on fire, going 5-for-5 at the plate with four of her hits coming as bunts. Alexis Cordero also had a solid game, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Jasani Zalvalza, Ericka Pineda, Samantha Meyndert, Paige Horvat, Tatiana Figueroa, Kylie Ruiz and Torie Brewer also had hits for the Owls.
In the circle, Meyndert picked up the shutout with two strikeouts.
The Owls turn right around to take on LA Mission on the road on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
