AVC's offense was on full display as their 12 runs came off 15 hits, including home runs by Jeannette Camarena and Natalia Hernandez. Hernandez finished with 2-for-3 with 5 RBI, while Camarena finished 2-for-3 with 4 RBI. Marley Delgado, Kaili York, Hartley Lundquist, Analise Memory, and Marissa Rodriguez all went 2-for-3 with York, Memory, and Rodriguez recording an RBI each. Tenley Puett also recorded a hit.
Jolene Miramontes was efficient in the circle, throwing 54 of 86 pitches for strikes and striking out 5 batters.
AVC is ranked 11th in the 3CFCA State Coaches Poll and continues to lead the 3C2A in several categories, including RBI (177), Home Runs, (25) Slugging Percentage (.661), and Extra Base Hits (78). In addition, Natalia Hernandez leads the 3C2A in home runs with 7, while Marley Delgado is tied for first in the state for RBI with 29. Marley Delgado ranks fifth with 26.
Payton Marlin leads the Western State-South Conference in wins with 10 and has a second-bet 63 strikeouts, followed by Jolene Miramontes at 51.
The Marauders are 17-2 and will start a 5-game road trip before returning home to face LA Valley in a conference match-up on March 18.
