Citrus College capped the Western State Conference-South season with a three-set victory over West LA (25-18-25-17, 25-21) Friday.

The Owls improve to 9-12 overall and end conference with a 4-6 mark.

Delaney Tate had a dominant performance with 16 kills on an impressive .593 attack percentage (16-0-27). She added 17 digs and two blocks defensively as well. Faith Evaro followed with 10 kills, while Maritza Sanchez dished out 35 assists. Defensively, Evelyn Enriquez had 10 digs.

Citrus hit at almost the exact same percentage in the first two sets, posting 14 kills in both on 33 attempts with four errors in the first set (.303 attack percentage) and five errors in the second (.273). It led to the Owls jumping out to a two-set advantage and control of the match.

In the final set, the Owls picked up 17 kills and had to dig deep as West LA challenged Citrus late. The visitors held on, however, and took the set 25-21 to secure the match victory.

The Owls head to the WSC Crossover Tournament next week, taking on Cuesta College on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
