Early Action: Folsom Lake Strikes First

The game began with a back-and-forth offensive display. Sacramento City took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Levi Sotomayor grounded out, allowing Dylan Drake to score. Folsom Lake quickly responded, with Michael Ryan doubling to score Trajan Rogowski, and an error by Sacramento City's second baseman allowed Asa Martinez to score, giving Folsom Lake a 2-1 lead.

Sacramento City's Three-Run Third

In the third inning, Sacramento City regained control. Eddie Fines hit a two-RBI single, scoring Jackson Blakley and Jaxen Mentink, to give the Panthers a 3-2 lead. The inning was capped by a fielding error from Folsom Lake that allowed Fines to score, extending the lead to 3-3.

Folsom Lake fought back in the fourth inning, when Trajan Rogowski singled to bring in Brady White and give the Falcons a 4-3 lead. However, Sacramento City quickly responded in the fifth, as Levi Sotomayor blasted a two-run homer to score Drake and put the Panthers back on top, 5-4.

A Big Seventh for Sacramento City

Sacramento City's offense exploded in the seventh inning. The inning began with Dom Agrella scoring on a hit-by-pitch by Keisen Hayden, followed by a walk to Jackson Norton that brought in another run. Then, Tyson Mayberry's two-RBI single extended the Panthers' lead to 9-4.

Folsom Lake Attempts a Comeback

In the eighth inning, Folsom Lake tried to mount a comeback. J. Moreau's single scored Logan Pruski, and Rogowski followed with another single to bring in Connor Barth, cutting the deficit to 9-6. However, the Falcons were unable to score again, and Sacramento City held onto their lead.
