LANCASTER - Pitching, defense, hitting. Maybe it's about time the Marauder softball team starts getting some votes for the upcoming polls.
AVC improved its record to 20-5 with a pair of impressive victories over LA Mission College, Tuesday afternoon at Marauder Stadium.
The Marauders pounded out a combined 23 hits and 23 runs after convincing 13-2 and 10-2 victories against the Eagles to remain undefeated in conference.
Paige Johnson was a combined 5-for-7 with four RBI and two runs. Valerie Dorantes was 4-for-7 with five runs and four RBI.
Dorantes, Dolly Stevens, Tawnee Hegre and Morgan Arndt each homered for the Marauders. Arndt (13-2) won both games as she was stellar on the mound.
