RANCHO CUCAMONGA - The Marauder women's soccer team had its four-game unbeaten streak snapped as it ran into a buzz saw, as Chaffey College easily won the game, 3-0, Wednesday evening at Chaffey College.
With the win the Panthers (3-0) remained undefeated on the young season and registered their third shutout of the season in those three matches. Chaffey has outscored its opponents 12-0 this season and has been dominant defensively.
All three goals were scored by Shaday Daniels, who completed the hat trick. The Panthers look 1-0, after the first half and Daniels scored her final two goals at 50:00 and 62:00. She has four goals and two assists on the season.
The last loss AVC (3-2-1) suffered was its opening match, 5-0, against L.A. Pierce College. Since then the Marauders averaged three goals per game with with a 3-0-1 record. However, in both AVC's losses it has been shut out.
"We did well actually against a team like Chaffey. We have some mistakes that could have been prevented," AVC forward Mackenzie Broderick said. "It was little mistakes by us and the game should have been 1-0, maybe. We had our opportunities. With our team now we're really hard working. We just have to keep doing what we're doing."
The Marauders return back to Marauder Stadium on Friday when they host Pasadena City College.
