Sacramento City overcame an early five-run deficit to defeat San Joaquin Delta 8-7 in eight innings on March 8, 2025, in Stockton, CA.

Early Explosion for San Joaquin Delta

San Joaquin Delta came out swinging, scoring five runs in the first two innings. Kennedy Dingman's RBI double and Ava Pannell's RBI single set the tone in the first. Tara Fornaciari added a two-run single, and Brooklin Preece's RBI groundout capped a dominant five-run opening frame. Delta extended their lead to 6-3 after three innings on a Raylani Elias RBI single.

Sacramento City's Steady Rally

Sacramento City answered back in the third inning. Kayla Garber's two-run single and Larissa Banks' RBI base hit closed the gap to 5-3. They kept chipping away, with Jenna Potter's RBI single and Chloe Kimbrell's daring steal of home making it 6-5 after four innings.
