Marauder Baseball won both games of their two-game home series, 14-0 and 17-1 against City College of San Francisco.
AVC's offensive attack was led by reigning Western State Conference South Player of the Year Cody Turner with 5 RBI off 4 hits, and Jacob Baxter, who went 4-for-5 with 4 RBI. KB Bell recorded 4 RBI and
Jose Vazquez went 5-for7 with 2 RBI. Noah Sanchez and Braydan Salinas had 3 RBI each. Turner leads the conference in RBI with 23, followed closely by Salinas with 22.
Aidan Morgan contributed 2 RBI in the series, while Mason Oasay, Eddy Stone, and Gavin Klennert recorded RBIs. Elias Frainier scored four times and had two hits. He's currently batting .476, the highest in the conference. Turner ranks 2nd at .465, and Baxter ranks 4th at .455.
Ashton Fitzpatrick threw 9 strikeouts in just over 6 innings for the game 1 win, while in game 2, Drew Lueders pitched 6 innings with 6 strikeouts.
The Marauders are now 12-1 and will begin a 3-game series against Cerro Coso with a home game on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 2:00 PM.
