VICTOR VALLEY - The Marauder women's soccer team couldn't hold a two goal lead in the first half and lost its opener, 4-2, Tuesday night against Victor Valley College.
The Marauders (5-4-5, 0-1) opened the scoring following Mackenzie Broderick's 14th goal of the season, giving her team a 1-0 lead. Following Broderick's goal, she assisted teammate Diana Paz who scored another goal and the Marauders led 2-0.
But the high powered offense of the Rams, which ranks near the top in every offensive statistical category, responded with four consecutive goals, including three by the state's No. 2 scorer, Cassandra Vasquez.
