Dons Split Matches Against Riverside and Glendale

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – The Don beach volleyball team split matches over the weekend at Newland courts in Huntington Beach, dropping a close one to Riverside City College and capturing a win against Glendale College.

The No. 2 and No. 3 Don pairs picked up exciting wins against the Riverside Tigers with both games going to three sets, before SAC ultimately dropped the match. No. 2 pair, Ally Wardlow and Savannah Brown, defeated its opponent 16-21,22-20,15-7. The No. 3 duo, Aubree Macdonald and Myrandah Zepeda, won 19-21,21-16,15-9.

The Dons closed out the day sweeping the Glendale Vacqueros with a match score of 5-0. Each pair won convincedly in just two sets as Santa Ana College beat Glendale by an average of 16.2 points.

Santa Ana Dons (2-5) are back in action Friday, March 13 with a 10 a.m. PT dual against the (2-5) Irvine Valley Lasers at IVC.
