Men's Water Polo opened their schedule with a pair of games against NCAA Division I programs, Santa Clara and San Jose State. The three-team mini-tournament was hosted by San Jose State, a program that boasts three former Cougars, including 2020 Cuesta College Male Athlete of the Year Jack Felsted, on its roster. After earning an win over Santa Clara, the Spartans unloaded their bench with the Cougars as nine Spartans colluded on the 10-8 win over Cuesta. In the nightcap, Santa Clara and Cuesta lit up the nets and split 10 goals in the first quarter, but the Broncos broke out to a 10-6 lead at halftime and cruised to an 18-11 victory. 2019 All American Aleksa Sisakovic (Belgrade, SRB- PICT) led the Cougars with five goals on the day, while 2019 All-WSC 2nd Teamer Jacob Sill (Clovis East HS) and fellow Sophomore Kiran Heidler (SLO HS) each has three goals in the mini-tournament.
Men's Water Polo hosts Fresno-Pacific this Friday (1 PM).
