TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College scored a dominant 57-16 non-conference victory over visiting College of the Desert on Wednesday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
Brandy Castaneda and Imani Taitt-Gibbs led the way for the Warriors (1-1) with 14 points apiece. Taitt-Gibbs recorded a double-double with 14 rebounds while Castaneda flirted with a triple-double as she secured nine boards to go along with nine steals.
The Warriors never trailed in the game and did not allow the Roadrunners (0-2) to score double digits in any quarter, forcing 32 turnovers.
Christina Tsukahira added six points, six steals and a team-high four assists in the victory.
The Warriors will return to action on Friday night when they host Citrus for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
