Giants hit the road with a two-game winning streak
After a cancelled game on the road against Chabot, COS softball swept a doubleheader at home versus Modesto.
Game 1, COS 8 - Modesto 0: It took the Giants just five innings to get the victory. COS got off to a hot start scoring two runs in the first inning. They would get another in the third, and exploded for five in the fifth inning.
Ashley Paradine got her third win of the season, pitching five innings on three hits. She also had four strikeouts on the day.
Game 2, COS 8 - Modesto 0: No it is not a typo. COS liked the score so much, they did it twice in one day.
Ashley Guzman had a great day in the circle, throwing six innings and only giving up four hits.
Breanne Tabarez had a monster game, going 3-for-4 with four RBI. She also hit her first home run in the victory.
The Giants will now go on the road for three games against Ohlone. They will play one on Friday, and a double-header on Saturday. COS will return home next Friday, Feb.17, to take on Gavilan and San Mateo.
