Strong Play Leads to Five Goals and Win

The women's soccer team at MiraCosta College continues to play at a high level as they beat Cuyamaca College 5-0.  With the win the Spartans maintain their third place position in the conference with a 4-1-1 record, and an overall record of 6-2-4.

In the match the Spartans dominated from start to finish with strong play up front from Jordan Heatherly, Silje Vigeland, Alyssa Ozuna and Elisa Dunn.  Mia Bochis played a little more than half of the game in goal but Keiari Pati also contributed to the shutout.  

Possession of the ball was controlled by MiraCosta.  Over the 90 minutes they kept possession for the majority of the time which led to the numerous offensive opportunities.  Goals for MiraCosta were scored by Heatherly (12th minute), Vigeland (15th minute), Heatherly (47th minute), Vigeland (63th minute) and Dunn (81st minute).

The Spartans will travel to San Diego Miramar College on Friday for a 1PM game to continue conference play.
