LANCASTER - The Marauder women's soccer team finished its three-game home stand with an easy 5-0 victory over Cerro Coso College, Friday afternoon at Marauder Stadium.
Cindy Martin completed the hat trick as she scored a goal in the first half and two in the second. She now has four goals on the young season. Mackenzie Broderick scored two goals and added an assist and Ana Mendoza chipped in with a couple of assists.
"Showing consitent growth and development, the team displayed strong unity in their tactical game," AVC head coach Charles Gordon said.
It was the second win in a row under the first-year coach and the second shutout in a row. The Marauders (2-1) had an easy 2-0 victory over Grossmont College on Tuesday.
The Marauders outshot Cerro Coso (0-1-1) 26-1 and spent much of the time in th attacking zone.
AVC travels to perennial power Chaffey College on Wednesday. The Panthers are 1-0 and dismantled West L.A. College, 7-0, on Tuesday.
