REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College women's basketball team downed College of the Redwoods 54-49 behind Isabella Padilla and Amber Wallace.

The Knights jumped ahead 17-5 after the opening quarter but only led by one at halftime. A 17-14 advantage allowed Shasta to pull away in the final period.

Padilla had 16 points and six rebounds, Wallace had 16 points and five rebounds and Kaleia Mizuta, Esmeralda Jaimes Estrada and Creedence Shaver each scored five points. Shaver added seven boards.

Shasta moves to 3-2 in Golden Valley Conference play and 10-12 overall.
