Mounties Show Strength in 13-12 Loss to Long Beach City in SCC Matchup

In a hard-fought battle on Wednesday, October 16, the Mt. SAC Men's Water Polo Team faced a narrow defeat against Long Beach City College, ending with a final score of 13-12 in a competitive South Coast Conference matchup.

The Mounties displayed a strong offensive performance, with Nico Flores, Michael McMillan, and Trevor Davis each netting three goals. As a team, Mt. SAC made 12 goals on 22 attempts, resulting in an impressive shooting percentage of 54.5%, compared to Long Beach's 43.3%.

Despite the loss, the Mounties maintain an overall record of 14-11 and a conference record of 2-1. Long Beach, now holding a perfect 3-0 conference standing, improves to an overall record of 11-2.

Following a successful outing at the Bruce Watson Invitational over the weekend, where they went 2-2, the Mt. SAC Men's Water Polo Team has moved up two spots in the rankings to No. 8.

Next, the Mounties will take on the El Camino Conquistadores in another SCC game. El Camino comes in with an impressive 15-6 overall record and a matching 2-1 conference record. This exciting matchup is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23.
