No. 3 Vikings Stay Unbeaten in Conference with Win Over Cerritos
The No. 3-ranked men’s water polo team emerged victorious over the No. 8 Cerritos College Falcons.
The No. 3-ranked Long Beach City College men's water polo team emerged victorious over the No. 8 Cerritos College Falcons, maintaining an impressive 16-2 record overall and remaining undefeated in South Coast Conference play at 4-0.
"Today's game was solid," said defender Maxwell Earhart. "We didn't play our best, but we played well enough to get the job done. It was a little close in the beginning, but we took control and put them away in the end. There's always room for improvement."
Attacker Sandro Pueyo led the offensive charge with five goals, two assists, and four steals, while attacker Cooper Haddad contributed four goals. Goalkeeper Diogo Checchinato anchored the defense with eight saves.
The Vikings are set to return to the pool this weekend at the Golden West Tournament.
