Fresno City's Big Second Inning
Fresno City wasted no time in building an early lead, scoring four runs in the second inning. After a quiet first frame, the Rams opened the floodgates with an RBI single from Jace Davies and a three-run triple by Elijah Moultrie, putting them up 4-0. They added even more offense in the third, scoring nine more runs in a massive rally. Sacramento City Struggles to Keep Pace
Sacramento City managed to plate a couple of runs in the third inning. Dylan Drake belted a two-run homer to center field, cutting the deficit to 10-2. However, the offense couldn't keep up with Fresno City's barrage, and they were held scoreless in the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. Sacramento City finally scratched another run across in the eighth when Brenden Murphy drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, but it wasn't nearly enough.

Sonny Pena (W, 2-1) earned the win for Fresno City, tossing six strong innings, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out six and giving up one home run. Aidan Graham, Matthew Prado, and Adam Delgado finished the game with three innings of relief, allowing just one run between them.
