Diablo Valley started strong, with Shawn Canada scoring the opening goal, but Modesto quickly took control, scoring five unanswered goals to close out the first quarter.
Despite a spirited second-quarter comeback by Diablo Valley, which included goals from Canada, Keegan D'Arcy, Ashton Culpepper, and Jackson Barnacal, Modesto maintained their lead and continued to extend it throughout the game.
Modesto's offense was led by standout performances from Alex Castillo and Holden Puccinelli, each contributing four goals.
Diablo Valley fought hard, with Barnacal completing a hat trick in the final quarter, but they couldn't close the gap.
Modesto's Diego Guerra was solid in goal, making 18 saves to secure the win.
