Stillwell hit a sacrifice fly to right scoring Borjas before Aguilera doubled home Rodriguez. Peter Dufau followed with another double to score Aguilera and VC led 3-0.
The Raiders responded with two runs in the second and two runs in the third to take a 4-3 advantage.
The Pirates answered in the top of the fourth, however, with two more scores. Ramirez singled to lead off and move to third on another single by Rodriguez. Stillwell hit another sacrifice fly to score Ramirez and Aguilera singled home Rodriguez for the 5-4 count.
Moorpark again had an answer with a run in the bottom half of the fifth for a 5-5 tie.

The Pirates manufactured another run in the top of the seventh. A double by Tommy Castaneda, a sacrifice bunt by Borjas and a sacrifice fly from Ramirez gave VC an 8-5 margin.
Moorpark scored once in the bottom of the seventh, and Ventura put the game away with a three-run ninth inning. Riley Dalto walked and moved to second on Castaneda's sacrifice bunt. Borjas reached base on an error before Ramirez reached base on a fielder's choice that scored Dalto. Stillwell hit his third sacrifice fly of the game to score Borjas and Brandon Contreras drew a bases-loaded walk to plate Ramirez.
Ben Drumheller made the start on the mound for VC, pitching four innings and giving up four runs.
