Cubs traveled to Oceanside, CA for a non-conference match up against an always tough MiraCosta College team. The game was a chess match throughout with few clear opportunities for either team. Both teams managed their substitutions and seemed to cover any chances at goal. Freshman goalkeeper Edward Fletes finished with the shutout and the defense of Kender Ruiz, Eduardo Campos and Ivan Gutierrez helped clinched the 6th shutout in a row for the Cubs. The match ended in a stalemate as both teams prepare for conference play to start next month.
The Cubs will now travel to Visalia, CA for a match up against nationally ranked #7 College of the Sequoias.
