Volleyball adds Another Sweep to the Season

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College volleyball team dominated Citrus in straight sets (25-17, 25-17, 25-18) on Friday night. 

Sophomore Kamryn Briggs led the charge for the Renegades with 12 kills on 22 attempts. Stevie Yursik was also a standout, contributing 14 kills, and three block assists. Bakersfield hit .301 as a team, with 37 kills and only 9 errors on 93 total attacks. Setter Taylor Drake was instrumental, dishing out 16 assists and serving 3 aces, helping the Renegades control the tempo.

On defense, Bakersfield collected 36 digs, with Carly Hayes leading the team with 8 digs. BC was also strong at the net, recording 12 block assists, with Sunnie Thomas and Yursik combining for 6 block assists.

With this win, Bakersfield improved its record to 11-7 overall and 5-1 in conference play. They will head out for a couple of road matches and return home on November 1st to take on Canyons at 6:00PM.
