
Women's Basketball: Bulldogs Bash Oxnard in Lopsided Win
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's basketball team put on a dominant performance at home, cruising to a 72-17 victory over Oxnard on Saturday afternoon. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs (9-14, 4-3 WSC) set the tone early, jumping out to a 19-8 lead in the first quarter and never looking back. Hancock's defense suffocated Oxnard (2-13, 0-6 WSC) throughout the game, holding them to just 10.8% shooting from the field and 7.1% from three-point range (2-for-28). Coach Smith's squad also forced 22 turnovers, turning defensive stops into scoring opportunities down the stretch.
Offensively, Hancock was led by Maggie Perez, who poured in 23 points, including six three-pointers. Khaelii Robertson-Mack was a force in the paint, adding 20 points and 12 rebounds for a dominant double-double. Katy Mathews, who also finished in double figures after notching 11, and Anastasia Drolette hauled in 11 boards apiece.
The Bulldogs are set to continue conference play on Wednesday, February 5th, with a road trip to Cuesta College.
